Themed workshop within CIAP  

We invite papers for a series of linked panels to form a workshop on the theme of Friendship and Politics.

Papers are invited on any aspect of friendship and politics/international relations, but papers which speak to the following themes will be especially welcome: Friendship, time and trust; Friends, enemies, strangers; Friendship among nations: mutuality and bonding; Friendship and high office; Decolonising friendship.

Confirmed participants include: Dr Felix Berenskoetter (SOAS), Dr Astrid Nordin (University of Lancaster), Dr Andrea Oelsner (University of Aberdeen), Dr Evgeny Roshchin (University of Jyväskylä), and Dr Graham M Smith (University of Leeds).

Participants will circulate papers of 4,000 words to participants of the workshop prior to the workshop.
